And that’s why we make many of our products in the United States. We want to support the and strengthen the land where we live. Straight Down is U.S.-based and U.S.-owned, still residing in the same town on the California coast where we began.
Several products in our latest line are made in the United States using both the latest technology and tried-and-true techniques that have stood the test of time. Most importantly, we know that these clothes support our fellow Americans while also utilizing sustainable methods that also benefit everyone.
We continue to expand our Made in the USA line, which currently contains several pieces perfect for the fall season. Several of our most popular outerwear pieces are made right here in the United States, as are our expanded line of pants that are perfect for every occasion.
The fleece in our Leucadia Quarter Snap Pullover is made from recycled T-shirts. The fabric is made in small batches in North Carolina to ensure its quality and knit on a vintage machine that specializes in creating this unique heritage fabric. The Misty Top from our women’s line is made from a unique tri-blend yarn that shows the level of quality that comes from American pride. Each inch is inspected by hand before being sent off for finishing and drying. And our Henderson Five Pocket Pant is cut, sewn and finished in Los Angeles, a city known in the industry for creating some of the best denim and woven pants you’ll find anywhere.
The true quality of this American craftsmanship is found not only in the fabrics but also the small details of our Made in the USA line. Every inch of these products is created by people who care deeply about their craft, and it shows. The Leucadia offers a classic look that has stood the test of time, and it is illustrated through the use of micro-suede in the collar and placket, enamel branded buttons and our branded metal snaps that have an antique finish.
The Henderson pant was created to feel both familiar and formal. It was made to immediately offer the worn-in comfort of your favorite pant, but also was designed for any environment. We created it without rivets so that it can be worn to your favorite club. The unique fabric blend also offers enhanced durability, while details like the American flag on the inside pay tribute to the heritage and inspiration of this American-made pant.
We had the privilege recently of seeing first-hand what American craftsmanship looks like when we toured the knitting mill where the fabric is made for the Misty pullover. The Misty’s cozy waffle knit is one reason why it’s one of the best-selling products in our popular leisure line for women. After the yarn that makes the Misty is hand-inspected, it is shipped to our California factory. This allows us to continually offer this lightweight, long-sleeve top in fresh new colors.
